Covid-19 will most certainly exacerbate widespread hunger currently experienced in SA, leading to a spike in existing and unacceptably high malnutrition levels.

We Care Mother Africa has received many calls for help from our beneficiaries whose parents’ informal nature of work has left them without pay during this national lockdown. There is simply no money for food.

We look after an amazing group of matriculants at a local Durban (Phoenix) school who show immense academic promise but whose lives are plagued by poverty and hardship.

Thanks to Pick n Pay “Feed the Nation’ Campaign, we were able to assist some of our children with much needed food hampers. We remain extremely grateful for Pick n Pay’s commitment to fighting hunger, especially during this pandemic. Thank you also to our volunteer-and Deputy Principal of the school- who ensured that the children received their food parcels.

Please support “Feed the Nation” campaign because your contributions are making a significant impact in the lives of people who are struggling to weather the terrible social and economic shocks brought about by COVID-19.
